It was December 1991 when there was the opportunity to combine different synergies with the common objective of revitalizing and promoting the improvement of the living conditions of the wide territory that we already know as Navarre Mountain.
At that time, the municipalities, councils, Batzarres, Government of Navarra, unions, private entities and business are committed to making a common front, and launch a development strategy born from our peoples and our people.
Taking into account the immense work territory, an entity that had the capacity to combine interests was considered necessary, Balance development opportunities, unite territory around an identity idea, attract funds to develop projects and manage. In this way, the Cederna Garalur association, one of the first state local action groups, emerged.
Since then, we continue Collaborating very closely with our territory. We are in our towns, we talk with our neighbors, we accompany our companies, we identify the opportunities of our regions and we redirect the threats facing the rural environment.
A path with ups and downs and a lot of effort, personal and collective, dreams realized and others that were left unfulfilled. Of each and every one of these experiences we want to remember on this 30th anniversary and verify that we have learned both from the successes and the failures.
That is why, after these three intense decades, our association Cederna Garalur remains more active than ever. Here we are and here we will be, Betting on the local development of the mountain of Navarra. We want to continue to be the professional support and close company in this intense journey of local development; to create employment; to conserve our rich cultural, historical, natural and ethnographic heritage; to bet on our energy resources; to improve education; to prevent depopulation.
