Itera-AA: Innovation in rural territories with companies in the agri-food sector.

In a European context of overproduction, health crisis, environmental degradation, loss of assets, the European agricultural model Dominant must adapt quickly to face these new challenges. At the same time, the rural world sees its competitiveness, must be reinvented, highlighting those aspects that offer a added value to your high quality products. It is essential to invest trends, rediscover added values to agricultural and local productions and re-establish Link between producers and consumers.

The project Itera-aa is funded by the program Interreg IVB Sudoe, and 6 partners from France, Spain and Portual participate.

three general objectives They are the framework of the project:

Product innovation

  • Inventory of good practices in product innovation. Identify between 5 and 10 good practices in terms of product innovation developed by agri-food companies in the mountains.
  • Bring producers and agri-food companies closer together and develop a common work dynamic in order to identify opportunities for innovation of products or processes according to an approach to the market.
  • Organization of innovation workshops in each sub-sector.
  • Definition of individual and collective innovation projects: search for partners, search for financing, elaboration of work plans, etc.

Innovation in marketing and commercial.

  • Carrying out a commercial diagnosis in companies; Analyze the marketing strategies of companies and propose improvement plans according to an approach to the market.
  • Promote marketing in short circuits:
  • Organization of meetings between professionals in the restaurant and marketing sector to identify opportunities for collaboration.

Human Resources Innovation

  • Conception of a modular collective training program for producers: improve their products and production processes according to an approach to the market.
  • Conception of a modular collective training program for producers in marketing: presenting producers with solutions and opportunities to improve their marketing modes and the opening of new circuits (on-line sale, use of social networks, etc.)
