From the municipalities that make up the region of Mendialdea (Aranano, Areso, Araitz, Basaburua, Betelu, Goizueta, Imotz, Larraun, Lekunberri and Leitza), the Plazaola Tourist Consortium and Cederna Garalur, we have launched this 2022 the design of the Mendialdea Socioeconomic Activation Plan for the next 3 years. The plan is being defined in a participatory manner with key agents of the territory and has the objective of energizing and promoting the economy of our region.

In a first phase, a diagnosis of eight economic sectors has been made: electric mobility and connected; healthy and sustainable food; green energy industry; industry in general; personalized medicine; sustainable tourism; audiovisual industry; and commerce and hospitality. After this phase, the five economic sectors with the greatest development potential have been selected to include them in the action plan and work on them. These sectors are as follows:
